Job summary

Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs for our facilities. You will handle HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing tasks, and basic carpentry to keep buildings safe and inviting for residents.

Ideal candidates have HVAC repair experience, strong safety awareness, and a positive attitude toward serving the elderly. This on-site role offers stability and growth within a respected post-acute care provider.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated HVAC repair experience.
• Experience with basic building maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations helpful.
• Basic computer literacy is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains maintenance records as instructed.
• Perform building and equipment repairs, as per work order requests.
• Performs fire safety equipment tests under the guidance of the Regional Maintenance Director.
• Inspects building systems as scheduled and logs findings.
• Coordinates maintenance services with department managers to ensure building and equipment performance without interruption.
• Performs basic carpentry, drywall, flooring and painting as required to maintain favorable building appearance.
• Maintains the building in good repair and in compliance with laws.
• Orders equipment and supplies and maintains records of repairs and purchases.
• May be required to drive for company business with either company vehicle or personal vehicle.
• Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect

• Order equipment and supplies as necessary; and maintain proper records of repairs and purchases.

• Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated HVAC repair experience.
• Intermediate skillset in electric and plumbing repair highly desired.
• Knowledge of water heaters, generators commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration would be a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretation.
• Completion of High School/GED education or otherwise show ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Basic computer literacy
• Positive attitude toward the elderly
