Job summary

FutureCare Associates, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform preventive maintenance on facility components, equipment, and systems. The role includes recording logs, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The position requires a minimum of 2 years in building maintenance, good English, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. A courteous demeanor and flexible shift willingness are desirable in a managed care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 2 years of building maintenance experience highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility environment a plus.
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
• Must have a polite and courteous demeanor towards residents and staff.
• Ability to meet physical demands with standing, bending, stooping, walking, and lifting at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility and building systems.
• Performs repairs and maintains records and required reports.
• Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Adheres to FutureCare’s ethics and compliance plans.
• Maintains a clean, safe maintenance workshop environment.
• Reads and logs refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Tests and logs water temperatures daily and manages supplies per PO system.
• Follows facility policies and performs other duties as assigned.

Under limited direction, the Maintenance Assistance will provide general service and repair work to ensure all facility areas are well maintained and operating within budgetary guidelines for our residents and staff.

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility, building, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment
• Performs all necessary repairs and maintains accurate records and logs and produces required reports
• Assures compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes
• Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
• Maintains clean, safe working environment at all times of the maintenance workshop
• Reads and logs refrigerator temperatures daily
• Tests and logs water temperatures dailyObserves budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and service and follows proper procedures relating to FutureCare’s purchase order system
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• At least 2 years’ experience working in a building maintenance capacity highly preferred
• Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility environment a plus
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language
• Must have a polite and courteous demeanor towards residents and staff members
• Ability to multi-task and work a flexible shift highly desirable
• Ability to meet physical demands with standing, bending, stooping, walking, and lifting at least 50 pounds
