Job summary

Immanuel is seeking a Maintenance Assistant II in Urbandale, IA, to support facility operations across interior and exterior spaces. The role includes carpentry tasks, HVAC/utilities maintenance, and on-call rotation with a daytime schedule, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, HVAC training preferred, and at least two years of facilities maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• HVAC trade or vocational schooling is preferred.
• Two (2) years of facilities maintenance experience is required.
• Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete interior and exterior carpentry work and maintain utilities for the facility.
• Maintain HVAC, heat pumps, furnaces, plumbing, and electrical functionality.
• Record keeping and cleaning related tasks.
• Hang drywall and clear snow from walkways.

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Maintenance Assistant II to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites.

The schedule for this Full time Day shift is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position also includes an on-call rotation for one week each month.

Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.
