Job summary

The Crossing at Tellico Village in Loudon, TN is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our care-focused team and help keep residents safe and comfortable.

You will support the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance, proper painting, housekeeping, and repairs across electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems while providing compassionate service to seniors.

Strong communication and reliability are valued; prior LTC maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience required.
• Prior LTC/SNF/AL/MC maintenance experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of painting, housekeeping, and general maintenance procedures.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks to keep facilities compliant with codes and regulations.
• Assist in maintaining sanitary, attractive, and safe environments.
• Address electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling issues.
• Support environmental safety and documentation as needed.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors


• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality


• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred


• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred


• Prior maintenance experience required


• Must possess knowledge of painting, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures


• Professional image in both appearance and behavior


• Excellent written and oral communication skills
