Town of Queen Creek is hiring an entry-level maintenance/grounds technician for the Parks and Recreation department. The role includes basic horticultural tasks, weed and pest management, custodial duties, and routine repairs.
You will operate light equipment and assist with event setups, with work centered at Mansel Carter Oasis Park. This safety-sensitive position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, plus a valid AZ driver’s license.

Schedule: Thursday–Monday | 5/8 shift | Weekday: 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.; Weekend: 4:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Positions assigned to this class are responsible for performing basic, routine custodial, building, grounds, streets maintenance and repair, or general manual labor.
This is an entry level maintenance/trades classification in the maintenance and operations job family where basic tasks and assignments requiring little or no previous training or experience are performed. This is the first classification in a career progression or the terminal level for positions with very basic and/or limited duties. Work is designed to provide initial experience and training under direct supervision.
This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position by Human Resources, per State and/or Federal Law. Upon conditional offer of employment, the candidate selected will be required to undergo testing for alcohol and controlled substances within twenty-four (24) hours of acceptance of the offer.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and 1 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.
