Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center to assist with general maintenance throughout the facility. The role involves reading blueprints, repairing electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building components to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The candidate should have general maintenance experience, basic tools proficiency, and a valid driver’s license; HVAC and building code knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience with basic hand tools
• Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to issues
• Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
• Basic HVAC knowledge
• Familiarity with building codes and fire regulations
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and manuals.
• Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment.
• Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment.
• Repair plaster and drywall.
• Maintain plumbing system and fixtures.

JOB SUMMARY:

Polson Health and Rehabilitation Centeris accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant to assist with general maintenance responsibilitiesthroughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Read blueprints and manuals.
• Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment.
• Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment
• Repair plaster and drywall.
• Maintain plumbing system and fixtures

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Required: General experience in equipment maintenance; demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials
• Required: Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to physical plant problems.
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of HVAC
• Preferred: Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Required: Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Preferred: Industry experience or similar general maintenance and repair background
