Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Jefferson Manor Senior Living facility in Kokomo, IN. You will perform maintenance tasks to keep the building safe, clean, and compliant with codes and regulations.

The ideal candidate has prior maintenance experience, preferably in LTC/SNF settings, and shows a professional image with strong communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and a range of benefits accompanies the role.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
• Prior maintenance experience required
• Must possess knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
