Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our North Capitol community in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time daytime role supports the Maintenance Supervisor in preserving the physical plant and grounds to create a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The position values teamwork, reliability, and a caring approach, with prior maintenance experience preferred and basic knowledge of electrical, heating, and cooling helpful to perform duties

Full-Time Days

The Maintenance Assistant assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the community’s physical plant and grounds ensuring a safe, attractive and enjoyable living environment for our residents, staff and the public.

Skills Needed:

• Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to provide maintenance services.
• Supportive Presence: Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
• Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.

Requirements:

• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships andExcellence
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge in electrical, heating and cooling helpful.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
