Job summary

Armstrong Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Kittanning, PA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help run a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility. You will perform routine repairs on elevators, plumbing, electrical systems, and conduct daily inspections, while delivering courteous service to patients and staff.

You will also support special projects, document activities, and escalate issues to the maintenance supervisor as needed, contributing to a collaborative team effort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of similar role preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment as needed.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • Responding promptly to patient requests and concerns

  • Maintaining a clean and organized facility, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our patients and staff

  • Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure effective communication and problem-solving

• Maintain accurate records and reports, including:

  • Tracking and documenting maintenance activities and repairs

  • Reporting any issues or concerns to the maintenance supervisor

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role preferred

• Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed

• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends

• Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
