Job summary

Glenwood, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support our facility and operations team. This full-time role focuses on painting, basic repairs, and keeping our spaces safe and well-maintained.

You will conduct maintenance checks on the fleet and kitchen equipment, complete work orders and logs, and assist with pool upkeep during season. The position requires reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail in a health-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid AL driver’s license and driving record acceptable by agency insurance carrier.
• Must pass all background screens and pre-employment testing required by the agency
• Must have own tools and truck

Responsibilities

• Paint facilities, signs, and other items as assigned.
• Complete required administrative paperwork along with assignments on or before deadlines.
• Perform preventative and maintenance checks for the Agency’s fleet of vehicles.
• Complete maintenance orders and logs at the end of the workday.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks scheduled for kitchen equipment monthly.
• Perform pool maintenance and upkeep daily during pool season.
• Follow safety precautions, agency policies, and procedures to minimize work-related accidents with chemicals, equipment, and/or vehicles.
• Other repair and maintenance duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Properly and effectively paints facilities, signs, and other items as assigned
• Completes required administrative paperwork along with assignments on or before
