Job summary

FutureCare Associates, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain building assets across our facility properties in Baltimore. Under limited direction, you will perform general service and repair tasks to keep areas well maintained and within budget.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in building maintenance preferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Polite and courteous demeanor toward residents and staff.
• Ability to multitask and work a flexible shift.
• Ability to meet physical demands (standing, bending, lifting 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility, building, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment
• Performs all necessary repairs and maintains accurate records and logs and produces required reports
• Assures compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes
• Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare7s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
• Maintains clean, safe working environment at all times of the maintenance workshop
• Reads and logs refrigerator temperatures daily
• Tests and logs water temperatures daily
• Observes budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and service and follows proper procedures relating to FutureCare7s purchase order system
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to meet physical demands with standing, bending, stooping, walking, and lifting at least 50 pounds
