Job summary

FutureCare Associates, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform preventative maintenance on the facility and systems, including fire/safety and medical equipment. The role involves repairs, record-keeping, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in building maintenance preferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Polite and courteous demeanor toward residents and staff.
• Flexible shift and physical tasks required (50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment.
• Performs repairs and keeps accurate records and logs, and produces required reports.
• Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulatory codes.
• Adheres to FutureCare’s ethics and compliance plan.
• Maintains a clean, safe working environment in maintenance areas.
• Monitors refrigerator and water temperatures and logs readings.
• Follows purchasing procedures and budget guidelines for supplies and services.
• Adheres to facility policies and performs other duties as assigned.

At FutureCare our Maintenance Assistants play a critical role in maintaining all physical building assets in and around facility property areas. Under limited direction, the Maintenance Assistance will provide general service and repair work to ensure all facility areas are well maintained and operating within budgetary guidelines for our residents and staff.

Salary Disclosure Statement

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility, building, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment
• Performs all necessary repairs and maintains accurate records and logs and produces required reports
• Assures compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes
• Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
• Maintains clean, safe working environment at all times of the maintenance workshop
• Reads and logs refrigerator temperatures daily
• Tests and logs water temperatures daily
• Observes budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and service and follows proper procedures relating to FutureCare’s purchase order system
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• At least 2 years’ experience working in a building maintenance capacity highly preferred
• Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility environment a plus
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language
• Must have a polite and courteous demeanor towards residents and staff members
• Ability to multi-task and work a flexible shift highly desirable
• Ability to meet physical demands with standing, bending, stooping, walking, and lifting at least 50 pounds
