Job summary

ImageFIRST Healthcare Laundry Specialists in Addison, IL is seeking a maintenance technician to support our facility operations. You will assist with installation and ongoing maintenance of facility machinery, learn PLCs, and help keep equipment running smoothly on a Monday Friday schedule.

Weekly pay with a starting rate of $19–$20 per hour, with opportunities to grow skills in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems while supporting critical healthcare laundry services across our sites.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of facility machinery.
• Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
• Assist with and learn to troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
• Learn and assist with the program of PLC's.
• Assist with the ordering of tools and machinery parts.
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
• Communicate with operators and management.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Shipping, receiving, and material-handling responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: $19.00 - $20.00 hour/Paid weekly

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the installation of facility machinery
• Assist with the performance of preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery
• Assist with and learn to troubleshoot and repair facility machinery
• Learn and assist with the program of PLC's
• Assist with the ordering of tools and machinery parts
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs
• Communicate with operators and management
• Clean and maintain work area
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
• shipping, receiving, and material-handling responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Familiar with working in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, and PLC programming
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required
• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
• Ability to safely load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
