Job summary

Fort Recovery Industries Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice focused on industrial lubrication within a die casting facility. You will learn lubrication routes, inspect and service machines, and gain skills in mechanical systems, basic electrical work, plumbing, and general maintenance on a hands-on path.

You will follow safety rules, participate in training, and build a foundation for a skilled trades career with opportunities to advance as you grow in the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Run lubrication routes on HPDC machines, dies, shot ends, toggles, furnaces, trim presses, and auxiliaries.
• Lubricate high-load points with EP and high-temp greases/oils as required.
• Service automatic lube systems, top off reservoirs, change filters, and spot leaks or problems.
• Learn and follow lockout/tagout, molten-metal, and all site safety rules.
• Use tools, replace simple components, keep areas clean, and document work.
• Attend required classes and apprenticeship training.

Maintenance Apprentice – Lubrication Track
Die Casting Facility | Hands-On Path to Skilled Trades

Ready to learn real industrial maintenance? Join us as a Maintenance Apprentice focused on industrial lubrication in a die casting plant. Work under close supervision while building skills in lubrication, mechanical systems, basic electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Run lubrication routes on HPDC machines, dies, shot ends, toggles, furnaces, trim presses, and auxiliaries.
• Lubricate high-load points (toggle pins, platen ways, bushings, ejectors, shot sleeves, etc.) with the correct EP and high-temp greases/oils.
• Service automatic lube systems, top off reservoirs, change filters, and spot leaks or problems.
• Learn and follow lockout/tagout, molten-metal, and all site safety rules.
• Use tools, replace simple components, keep areas clean, and document work.
• Attend required classes and apprenticeship training.

Duties expand as you grow.

Requirements

Required: High school diploma/GED (or enrolled), willingness to learn, basic math/literacy, safety mindset, and flexibility for shifts + overtime.
Preferred: Vocational/shop/military experience, hands-on manufacturing or tools background, any die-casting or lubrication exposure.

Physical & Environment

Standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting up to ~50 lbs. Heat, noise, oil, and industrial setting. PPE required (glasses, steel-toes, hearing protection, etc.).
