Echo Lake Foods in the Midwest is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to support a safe, reliable operation of production equipment. This entry-level role delivers hands-on training, mentoring, and classroom learning while upholding strict food safety, quality, and GMP standards.

You will engage in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, reading basic drawings, and documenting activities in the maintenance system, with opportunities to advance into Maintenance Technician roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in or willingness to participate in a formal maintenance apprenticeship or training program.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and desire to learn industrial maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsabilités

• Assist with routine maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and facility equipment.
• Support troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems under supervision.
• Learn to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and manuals.
• Document maintenance activities, work orders, and parts usage in the maintenance management system.
• Follow all food safety, quality, and GMPs.
• Comply with company safety policies, including LOTO, PPE, and safe work practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
• Participate in training programs, safety meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support emergency maintenance calls as needed.
