Job Description

Job Summary:

Camden’s Maintenance Apprentice Program offers a valuable entry point into a leading multi-family management organization. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience in daily maintenance operations at a premier community, supervised by experienced Camden maintenance staff and supported by a dedicated property management team. The program aims to develop skills across various facets of residential maintenance, customer service, and community policies. Upon completing the 6-12 week program, apprentices will be evaluated for potential full-time employment in maintenance roles, while gaining comprehensive experience in areas such as:

Essential Functions:

• Maintenance Safety
• Electric Repair & Troubleshooting
• Refrigeration Cycle Basics
• Apartment Make Readies
• Pool Maintenance
• Apartment Inspections
• Camden Culture and Management Philosophy
• Policies and Procedures
• Customer Service
• Handling requests, comments, and concerns efficiently

Requirements:

• Enrollment in or recent completion of an HVAC/CAMT program or equivalent residential maintenance experience
• Basic technical knowledge related to apartment maintenance

Additional Information:

• Physical activity includes standing, bending, crouching, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using safety equipment
• Manual dexterity for operating small machinery
• Normal sensory capabilities for operation and safety
• Exposure to outdoor environments and noise levels
