Cintas Corporation in Cincinnati, OH, seeks a Maintenance Apprentice to learn to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial equipment under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. The program covers washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyors, boilers and wastewater treatment systems with emphasis on safety and on-the-job training for advancement.

• Learn proper operation of industrial wastewater treatment systems and wash alley equipment.
• Perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping; adhere to health and safety policies.

Job description

Cintas is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Apprenticewill receive on-the-job training to: learn how to repair, maintain, perform preventive/predictive maintenance, installand troubleshoot industrial equipment, systemsand components, including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systemsand boilers; learn proper operation of industrial wastewater treatment systems andwash alley equipment; perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping; adhere to Cintas' health and safety policies and procedures while learning to perform all duties. This is a training position to allow the individual to compete for advancement upon completion of the program.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
• General knowledge and skills that demonstrates good mechanical background
• Ability to stand for up to 7 hours ofan 8 hour shift
• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred

• Maintenance knowledge- sufficient formal or informal training to perform the duties of this position
• Any combination of general maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical, and military experience is acceptable
• Experience with formalized safety programs preferred, such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, OSHA Awareness, Technical School Coursesor Ladder Safety
