Job summary

Cintas Corporation in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice. Under the Maintenance Supervisor, you will receive on-the-job training to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial equipment including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, and conveyors.

You will learn wastewater treatment operation and wash alley equipment, plus indoor/outdoor housekeeping while following health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• General maintenance knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature in English.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and perform preventive/predictive maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyors, and boilers.
• Learn operation of wastewater treatment systems and wash alley equipment.
• Perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping while adhering to safety policies.

Job description

Cintas is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Apprenticewill receive on-the-job training to: learn how to repair, maintain, perform preventive/predictive maintenance, installand troubleshoot industrial equipment, systemsand components, including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systemsand boilers; learn proper operation of industrial wastewater treatment systems andwash alley equipment; perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping; adhere to Cintas' health and safety policies and procedures while learning to perform all duties. This is a training position to allow the individual to compete for advancement upon completion of the program.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
• General knowledge and skills that demonstrates good mechanical background
• Ability to stand for up to 7 hours ofan 8 hour shift
• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred

• Maintenance knowledge- sufficient formal or informal training to perform the duties of this position
• Any combination of general maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical, and military experience is acceptable
• Experience with formalized safety programs preferred, such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, OSHA Awareness, Technical School Coursesor Ladder Safety

Compensation
A reasonable estimate of base salary for this role ranges between $21.18 - $26.68/Hour. The range takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organization needs. Please note, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decision are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each decision.
