Job summary

Quality Quartz Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead a world-class program in a CNC-driven manufacturing environment.

You will build systems, processes, and strategies to improve equipment reliability, increase uptime, and optimize maintenance spend while guiding long-term planning for automation growth. You will supervise daily repairs, PM execution, and technician activity, delivering strategic reliability leadership and long-term maintenance planning

Qualifications

• 7+ years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience building maintenance systems, reliability programs, TPM initiatives, or CMMS programs.
• Strong technical knowledge of CNC equipment, automation, electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience developing MRO inventory and spare parts management systems.
• Experience leading continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Strong project management and change management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve maintenance management systems, standards, and procedures.
• Audit and strengthen preventive maintenance programs and transition toward TPM methodology.
• Establish maintenance KPIs including uptime, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, and cost metrics.
• Develop reliability strategies for CNC machining centers, automation systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls.
• Lead root cause failure analysis and corrective action efforts.
• Create equipment criticality assessments and asset lifecycle plans.
• Design and implement a structured MRO inventory and spare parts program.
• Develop storeroom organization standards, labeling systems, min/max levels, and purchasing processes.
• Provide maintenance leadership for future automation, robotics, PLC systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Production to improve equipment performance.
• Mentor and support the Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements including machine safeguarding and lockout/tagout programs.

Position Summary

QQE is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead the development and implementation of a world-class maintenance and reliability program in a CNC-driven manufacturing environment. This position will focus on building the systems, processes, and strategies necessary to improve equipment reliability, increase uptime, optimize maintenance spending, and prepare the organization for future automation growth. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee daily repairs, PM execution, and technician activities, while this role provides strategic leadership, reliability engineering, and long-term maintenance planning.

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve maintenance management systems, standards, and procedures.
• Audit and strengthen preventive maintenance programs and transition toward TPM methodology.
• Establish maintenance KPIs including uptime, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, planned vs. unplanned work, and maintenance cost metrics.
• Develop reliability strategies for CNC machining centers, automation systems, saws, facility systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical equipment, and controls.
• Lead root cause failure analysis and corrective action efforts.
• Create equipment criticality assessments and asset lifecycle plans.
• Design and implement a structured MRO inventory and spare parts program.
• Develop storeroom organization standards, labeling systems, min/max stocking levels, and purchasing processes.
• Provide maintenance leadership for future automation, robotics, PLC systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Production to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and support the Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements including machine safeguarding and lockout/tagout programs.

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting robotics and automated manufacturing systems.
