Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. in Ironton, MO, is seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Intern for Spring/Summer 2027. This safety-sensitive internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work with maintenance and engineering teams on startup and commissioning activities.

You will help build the preventive maintenance program, assist with troubleshooting, verify equipment readiness, and document procedures while gaining exposure to PLCs, motors, dust collectors, and other plant systems.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or related engineering field.
• Interest in industrial maintenance and manufacturing startup environments.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow safety rules and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and engineering teams during startup.
• Assist troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical startup issues.
• Help build maintenance program with PM activities, SOPs, and docs.
• Verify readiness of key plant equipment and systems.
• Generate and present reports to maintenance team leadership.
