Job summary

Monroe Health & Rehab Center seeks an Environmental Services Supervisor to maintain facilities, grounds, and utilities while ensuring a clean, home-like environment for residents.

You will oversee housekeeping and laundry operations, enforce health and infection control policies, and support staff to deliver high-quality care in a skilled nursing setting. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in environmental services, maintenance, or related trades.
• Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry preferred in healthcare or hospitality.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Life Safety Code, facilities, equipment, grounds and utilities in good working order.
• Provide a clean, home-like environment and quality laundry services.
• Direct overall operations of the housekeeping and laundry department in compliance with regulations.
• Follow health, sanitary, and infection control policies and community procedures.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to ensure the Life Safety Code, physical plant, equipment, grounds and utilities are maintained in good working order and in accordance with community policies, state and federal regulations. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Maintenance Policies and Procedures. You will also provide a clean, well-maintained, and home-like environment and provide quality laundry services through directing the overall operations of the department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the community. Follows all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Housekeeping and Laundry Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

• Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in environmental services, maintenance, or relative trade, preferably in the healthcare or hospitality industry.

• Must have previous experience in housekeeping and/or laundry, preferably in healthcare or the hospitality industry.

• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Shift and Wage:

• Full-Time Opportunity Available

• Shifts Needed: Varies

• Wage: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
