Job summary

Deffenbaugh Homes is seeking a responsible Maintenance and Grounds Technician to keep properties, jobsites, and equipment clean, organized, safe, and well maintained. You will perform a wide range of groundskeeping, maintenance, construction support, renovation, snow removal, and equipment repair tasks throughout the year.

This role requires a reliable, self-motivated, hands-on individual who can recognize what needs to be done and take care of it without constant direction and supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with small engines, equipment, or general mechanical repair preferred.
• Construction or carpentry experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment safely.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, weed eat, and maintain company properties and grounds.
• Maintain and clean silt fencing and jobsite erosion control measures.
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance including planting and landscaping.
• Perform snow and ice removal from company properties and other areas as needed.
• Keep shop and storage areas organized.
• Inspect equipment and identify maintenance or repair needs.
• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform basic carpentry work and assist with renovation projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Mow, trim, weed eat, and maintain company properties and grounds
• Maintain and clean silt fencing and other jobsite erosion control measures
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including planting and caring for trees and landscaping
• Perform snow and ice removal from company properties and other areas as needed
• Keep company shop and storage areas organized
• Inspect equipment and identify maintenance or repair needs
• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on company equipment
• Perform basic carpentry work and assist with renovation projects as needed
