Lilly's Parenteral/Packaging facility in Concord, NC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead night-shift maintenance and automation efforts, ensuring safety, quality, and housekeeping across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities include overseeing staffing, training, KPI performance, and incident reporting to support reliable 24/7 manufacturing operations. Strong leadership and knowledge of GMP, PLC/HMI, and device assembly are essential.

Qualifications

  • Five years of manufacturing or maintenance experience in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • High School / GED minimum.

Responsibilities:

The role oversees night‑shift maintenance and automation activities, ensuring all team members follow required safety practices and maintain strong housekeeping standards. It is responsible for quality compliance with cGMPs and site procedures while managing staffing, performance, and daily operations across multiple shifts. The supervisor drives maintenance excellence by ensuring high‑quality maintenance execution, training readiness, KPI performance, and alignment with production needs. They also review work orders, investigate deviations, and lead incident reporting and corrective actions to support reliable 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Key Deliverables
  • Safety - Ensures that all team members are knowledgeable and compliant regarding safety procedures, policies, permits and practices. Initiates and leads accident, near miss reviews and incident notifications. Ensures proper housekeeping procedures are maintained.
  • Quality – Responsible for team’s compliance and meeting the quality standards as defined by cGMPs, the Global Quality Standards, local procedures
  • Manage People Effectively – Responsible for managing daily maintenance operations across shifts up to 7 days a week, including attendance, overtime, operational issues, performance management, development planning and reporting of results.
  • Maintenance Excellence –
    • Ensuring quality of Maintenance Execution and RFU
    • Responsible for Team Training and Development and ensuring team is current on training prior to assigning work
    • Responsible for Maintenance KPI’s associated with Team’s performance
    • Aligns Team Priorities to Support Production Plan
    • Interfaces with customers to ensure alignment
    • Completing weekly Practice vs Procedure Checks
    • Reviewing a sampling of executed Work Orders
  • Investigates Team deviations as needed
  • Owns incident reporting, investigating, and corrective measures
Basic Requirements
  • Five years of manufacturing or maintenance experience in a leadership/supervisory role
  • High School / GED minimum
  • Visa Sponsorship: Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1.
    • Previous supervisory/leadership experience required
    • Knowledgeable of Parenteral or Packaging Maintenance operations and processes or other GMP manufacturing experience
    • Formulation, Filling, Device Assembly or Packaging Knowledge
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with multiple levels within the organization
    • Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and feedback
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, set objectives and meet targets
    • Demonstrated ability to provide high‑level customer service
    • Demonstrated ability to work without close supervision
    • Demonstrated ability in problem solving
    • CMMS experience desired
    • General understanding of PLC, HMI, and networking
    • Understanding of electrical concepts
    • Experience with Device Assembly and Packaging equipment
Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Position supports a 24/7 operation and is expected to be flexible in maintaining availability for support in decision making and issue resolution as necessary to operate the facility.
  • Must be willing to work overtime during peak periods (shutdowns, etc.)
  • Must be willing to carry a cell phone and respond to off‑hour emergencies when necessary.
  • Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant. Mobility requirements and exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position
  • Minimal travel required.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $40.38 - $59.23.

Full‑time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
