Job summary

HNI Corporation in Muscatine, IA is seeking an Advanced Maintenance Technician for an on-site, 1st and 2nd shift role. You will perform a wide range of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, plant facilities, and environmental systems.

You will work on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors and drives, instrumentation, and robotics, with a focus on reliability and safety. A drug test and background check are required; a high school diploma or GED is not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in industrial or military settings focusing on electro-mechanical maintenance, electrical and power distribution, electronics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with mechanical equipment, motor controls, drives and programmable controllers.
• Strong problem-solving and repair skills in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair production equipment and plant facilities.
• Service hydraulic/pneumatic systems and actuation components.
• Maintain instrumentation, vision systems and sensors.
• Repair motors, pumps, gears, and power transmission components.
• Ensure electrical theory principles are applied and safety standards are followed.
• Support robotics and automation equipment maintenance.
• Document work, complete inspections and recommend preventive actions.
• Collaborate with teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

Our HNI Workplace Furnishings team in Muscatine, IA is actively looking for an Advanced Maintenance Technician to fill a 1st and 2nd shift opportunity.

As part of our team, you’ll dive into a dynamic maintenance technician role where you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs related to production equipment, plant facilities, and environmental systems.

Your hard work will be rewarded with competitive compensation, ranging from $29.00 to $35.00 per hour.

• Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and any specialized equipment involving:
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics

Your qualifications:

Preferably a minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial or military setting focusing on electro-mechanical maintenance, electrical and power distribution, electronics, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical equipment, motor controls, drives and programmable controllers.
