Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking a Maintenance professional to care for campus facilities. The role involves routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to keep buildings, equipment, and grounds clean, safe, and operational.

You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks, support event setups, and ensure safety protocols are followed. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and prior maintenance experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry systems.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform manual labor.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
  • Complete general repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders submitted by staff and leadership.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems according to established schedules.
  • Ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational at all times.
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in good working condition.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for campus events, furniture moves, and room configuration changes.
  • Support safety protocols, including hazard reporting and emergency response procedures.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Document all work performed in maintenance logs or digital systems.

Job Summary

The Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, functionality, and appearance of the campus facilities. This role performs a variety of maintenance, repair, janitorial, and preventative tasks to ensure all buildings, equipment, and grounds remain clean, operational, and aligned with organizational standards.
