Packaging Corporation of America in Columbus, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am). You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment, joining a team that performs preventive maintenance and responds to breakdowns.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.

• Production schedule is 3 shifts; shift assignment based on plant needs and seniority.

Must be able to work a 3rd Shift schedule 11pm-7am Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

• This position is based at the PCA Box Plant located in Columbus, IN.
• This position will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
• Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance activities as well as answer breakdown calls in a production environment.
• All Maintenance Technician positions are multi‑craft and training is provided to develop these skills.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• A technical degree in the mechanical or electrical trades is a plus.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging or printing industry is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Production schedule is 3 shifts; shift assignment based on plant needs and seniority, with opportunities to change shifts when organization or production schedules change.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $27.79 – $41.00 per hour, based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience.
• 1.5× pay over 8 hours and over 40 hours.
• 1.5× pay Saturday and Sunday.
• 1.5× pay holidays plus additional overtime over 8 hours on holidays.
• Uniforms provided.
• PCA provides safety shoes, safety glasses stipends, and a tool stipend for basic hand tools.
• PCA provides all special and heavy tools.
• Paid training and tool stipend included; uniforms, safety gear provided.
