Aptiv Interconnect is hiring a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on first shift for our manufacturing lines in Dayville, Connecticut. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment, ensuring uptime through proactive maintenance, and collaborating across departments to keep lines running smoothly.

Formación

Leadership & Core Responsibilities:

Technical Execution

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment critical to production
• Ensure the operational efficiency of equipment through timely inspection, maintenance, and repair

Position Requirements:

Education & Technical Qualifications

• General knowledge of electrical/electronic schematics
• Familiar with electrical troubleshooting
• Mechanical aptitude
• Efficient use of tools and some electrical/electronic test equipment
• Extensive background with pneumatics, hydraulics, rollers, motors and pumps in a high speed production environment
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment
• Change belts, pumps, chains, gears, fittings as required for continuous production
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Ensure the operational efficiency of equipment through timely inspection and repair

Certifications & Competencies:

• Efficient use of tools, electrical/electronic test equipment
• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe situations or equipment immediately
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
• Strong communication and people skills required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Collaborate across departments to meet company goals
• The employee works on the production floor

Physical Demands

• Able to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs
• Able to work standing up or sitting down for extended periods of time

Work Requirements

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
• Requires advanced reasoning ability
• Ability to work required overtime including weekends

Compensation, Benefits & Legal:

Total Rewards & Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $68,640-$74,880 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
