Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Louisville, KY to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems across plant equipment and facilities.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience with industrial equipment, a focus on safety, and flexibility to work all shifts, with possible overtime and travel for training as needed. PCA offers competitive benefits and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.
• Work with urgency to respond to machine downtime events.
• Complete in-house and possibly external training; may require overnight travel.

• Pay Range from $29.69 - $45.00 based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facilities.

Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.

Work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events.

Will be required to complete in-house training programs to develop equipment specific maintenance skills. The position may also require attendance at external training that may require occasional overnight travel.

Must be able to follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical degree and/or comparable experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment; particularly within the corrugated or packaging industry.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Compensation And Benefits

• Pay Range from $29.69 - $45.00 based on skills and experience.
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
• Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
