Job summary

Oconto Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance team in a long-term care setting. You will ensure safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance while managing budgets and day-to-day operations.

The role emphasizes prevention, coordination with other departments, and implementing safety programs to protect residents and staff. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in healthcare or long-term care (preferred but not required).
• In-depth knowledge of life safety codes and regulatory compliance (preferred but not required).
• Handyman skills for basic repairs.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee building repairs, preventative maintenance, and scheduled maintenance programs.
• Collaborate with department heads to prepare rooms for resident admissions and discharges.
• Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, Life Safety Code, and Department of Health regulations.
• Manage inventory, ordering of supplies, and maintenance equipment.
• Oversee the maintenance department’s budgets and financials.
• Develop and implement workplace safety programs and procedures.

Pay starting at $24/hrcan increase based on experience
