Charles Tini & Associates Inc., a Regional Property Management firm with over 45 years of experience and a growing affordable housing portfolio along the East Coast is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong commitment to service, safety, and regulatory compliance. About the Role

The Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity, safety, and cleanliness of a HUD/Tax Credit-regulated affordable housing community. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, and understands the importance of maintaining compliance, quick response times, and strong resident relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks in compliance with HUD, REAC, and other affordable housing standards.
  • Support unit turnovers to ensure apartments meet program requirements and quality expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free community environment.
  • Electrical: Troubleshoot and repair wiring, fixtures, and circuits.
  • Plumbing: Repair pipes, fixtures, and unclog drains.
  • HVAC: Assist with heating and cooling system maintenance.
  • Appliances: Diagnose and repair major appliances.
  • Carpentry: Repair stairs, railings, cabinets, doors, fencing.
  • General Building: Roofing, gutters, flooring, drywall, interior/exterior lighting.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain door locks, smoke detectors, gas fixtures, and security systems (if applicable). Assist with pre-REAC inspections and remediation tasks.
Qualifications
  • Experience in affordable housing, HUD, Tax Credit, Section 8, or similar regulated housing preferred.
  • Strong customer-service skills and ability to work with diverse resident populations.
  • Ability to complete work professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • Knowledge or experience with HappyCo software is a plus.
