Job summary

Palm Beach Preschool is seeking a Maintenance professional to join our Educational Services team in Florida. You will maintain equipment and facilities across Tavares, Sorrento, Mt Dora and Eustis locations, ensuring a clean, safe environment for staff and students.

You will troubleshoot, repair issues, and maintain records while traveling between sites as needed. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and drywall systems with the ability to read manuals is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of maintenance or related field experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with no major traffic violations.
  • Must pass LEVEL 2 Background screening for working around small children.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on all equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure safety of children when working on-site.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed.
  • Coordinate with other departments to complete tasks on schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Travel between locations as needed (vehicle and gas provided).

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance professional to join our team in the Educational Services industry. As a Maintenance team member, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all equipment and facilities in our Tavares, Sorrento, Mt Dora and Eustis locations. Your primary goal will be to maintain a clean, safe and efficient environment for our staff and students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall and HVAC systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
