Job summary

Next Generation Management & Accounting Services is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Sunrise, Florida team. The role focuses on routine maintenance, repairs, and property upkeep to ensure safe, well-maintained communities for residents and vendors.

You will perform preventative maintenance, minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and reporting, while following OSHA standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training in maintenance preferred.
• 1–2 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and preventative maintenance preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas and facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections and report issues to management.

Maintenance Technician

Next Generation Management & Accounting Services is a professional property management and accounting company specializing in condominium and homeowners association (HOA) management throughout South Florida. We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team in Sunrise, Florida.

The ideal candidate will have experience performing general maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and property upkeep. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a safe and professional environment for residents, guests, and vendors.

Position Details

• Position: Maintenance Technician
• Location: Sunrise, FL
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Hours per Week: 40

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general property upkeep to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the community. This role supports both preventative and corrective maintenance efforts and works closely with management to maintain the highest standards of property operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all common areas and facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pressure-washing tasks as needed.
• Maintain property equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory.
• Assist with landscaping upkeep, debris removal, trash collection, and exterior maintenance.
• Support sprinkler system inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Document maintenance issues and complete required reports, inspections, and checklists.
• Provide professional customer service to residents, guests, and vendors.
• Follow OSHA standards, company safety policies, and community guidelines at all times.
• Work closely with management and team members to ensure the property is well-maintained and operating efficiently.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs, and climbing ladders
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving equipment, supplies, and materials
• Operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely

Qualifications

Experience
