Job summary

NCF Maintenance at Nucor is responsible for the safest, most efficient, cost effective operation and maintenance of our assets. Daily work includes PLC programming/troubleshooting, AC/DC drive programming/troubleshooting, and general maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.

This rotating shift role includes nights, weekends, emergency overtime and holidays; safety is emphasized and policies must be upheld at all times.

Qualifications

• Electromechanical degree or three years industrial maintenance experience including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge of machining, welding, and equipment fabrication skills.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
• Safely lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safest, most efficient, cost effective means of operation and maintenance of assets.

• Perform machining and fabrication of equipment as needed.

The role of NCF Maintenance is to be responsible for the safest, most efficient, cost effective means of operation and maintenance of our assets. Skills used on a daily basis include (but are not limited to) PLC programming/troubleshooting, AC/DC Drive programming/troubleshooting, general maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, machining and fabrication of equipment. This is a rotating shift position which includes nights, weekends, emergency overtime and holidays.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Electromechanical degree or three years industrial maintenance experience including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• PLC Skills in AB Control Logix 5000/500, Siemens STEP 7, etc...)
