Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform heavy lifting.
• Valid NY State Driver's License and ability to pass tests for operating a 12-passenger vehicle.
• Working knowledge of tools and basic building maintenance.
• Experience with prior building maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and transport to dumpster.
• Sweep and mop floors daily.
• Clean glass, doors, and windows daily.
• Dust and wash tables and kitchen areas.
• Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures and floors daily.
• Replace paper supplies and deodorize restrooms as needed.
• Order janitorial supplies with approval.
• Strip, wax and buff floors as needed.
• Vacuum carpets in offices and lounges.
• Set up rooms for programs as needed.
• Perform minor lighting maintenance and painting.
• Snow removal and salting as needed.
• Maintain vehicles per Corps Officers' instructions.
• Drive to do pickups as requested.
• Assist with heavy lifting as needed.
• Polish exterior grounds and lawn maintenance.

Overview

To provide cleaning services, indoor and outdoor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Empty all trash and-transport to dumpster
• Sweep all hard floors daily and mop as needed
• Wash all glass including door and panes as needed- surfaces daily
• Dust and/or wash tables and kitchen area as needed
• Clean restroom fixtures, floors and partitions daily
• Disinfect restroom floors daily
• Replace paper supplies and deodorize the restrooms as needed.
• Order janitorial supplies with the permission of the Corps Officers
• Strip, wax and buff floors as needed
• Vacuum carpets as needed with offices and lounge area daily
• Set up rooms for programs as needed
• Maintain lights - minor repairs, light bulb change, painting,
• Remove snow as needed and salt as needed
• Maintain vehicles as needed and instructed by the Corps Officers
• Drive to do pick-ups as requested
• Help with heavy lifting as needed
• Police outside grounds for trash and keep the exterior clean
• Maintain the lawn as needed

Qualifications
