Job summary

McDonald's Franchise is seeking a Maintenance Person to keep the restaurant, equipment, and surrounding property clean and in good repair. The role supports overall restaurant operations with hands-on maintenance tasks.

About the Position

This position is with an independently owned and operated McDonald's franchise restaurant. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA and is solely responsible for employment matters at this restaurant, including hiring, discipline, supervision, staffing, scheduling, and termination.

What You'll Do

The Maintenance Person helps maintain the cleanliness and condition of the restaurant, its equipment, and surrounding property.

Responsibilities may include:

• Filtering fryer oil as required

• Maintaining exterior grounds and parking areas

• Cleaning restaurant equipment

• Cleaning interior and exterior windows

• Cleaning stock rooms and restrooms

• Supporting general restaurant cleanliness

• Unloading delivery trucks

• Removing trash and operating the trash compactor

• Replacing light bulbs

• Cleaning HVAC and exhaust areas

• Removing debris from designated roof areas

• Identifying maintenance or equipment concerns and communicating them to management

• Assisting with other cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

Previous maintenance experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone who:

• Is dependable and takes pride in their work

• Can work independently and manage assigned tasks

• Pays attention to cleanliness and detail

• Is comfortable performing hands-on cleaning and maintenance work

• Can safely use cleaning supplies, tools, and restaurant equipment

• Works well with Managers and other restaurant employees

• Is willing to learn and follow safety procedures

• Can perform the physical duties associated with the position
