Job summary

Morganfield Nursing and Rehab in Kentucky is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to direct the overall operation of our Maintenance Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements and supporting the Administrator.

The successful candidate will oversee boilers, compressors, generators, plumbing and electrical systems, read blueprints, apply safety regulations, and supervise skilled trades to keep the facility in good repair.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance/plant related position.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Carpentry skills and ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local requirements, and as directed by the Administrator, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess, as a minimum, a High School diploma or equivalency.

EXPERIENCE

• Must have a minimum of three [3] years’ experience in a maintenance/plant related position.
• Must be knowledgeable in boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as, various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Must have some carpentry skills.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS [With or without the aid of mechanical devices]

1. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
2. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
3. Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
4. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
5. May be required to lift, push, and pull.
6. Must maintain good grooming and personal hygiene and appearance.
