Job summary

Tel Hai Retirement Community seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to join the Facility Services team and maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds in top condition. This full-time day position offers a 7:30am-4pm schedule and pay up to $25.20 per hour.

Responsibilities include electrical/HVAC work, preventive maintenance, snow removal, and responding to emergencies to keep the campus safe and reliable for residents and staff. Tel Hai emphasizes a caring, community-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of electrical equipment, lighting, power distribution, ventilation, and air conditioning.
• Valid PA Driver’s License with at least 2 years driving experience required.
• Trade or technical school (or equivalent experience) required.
• Must have the ability to work productively with minimum or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs hands-on work for indoor and outdoor building maintenance including electrical, HVAC, major equipment, life safety systems, and emergency systems under the direction of the Director.
• Performs preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance repairs as directed.
• Performs snow removal and ice prevention tasks as directed.
• Moves residents and community-owned furniture and stores in a neat and orderly fashion to prevent damage as required.
• Responds to emergency calls when requested.
• Performs security rounds of the entire campus.
• Set-ups for special events and assists with trash removal as requested.
