Job summary

Holman Logistics is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical components. The role involves preventive maintenance, responding to requests, and coordinating with vendors.

You will keep logs, ensure safety, assist with events, and collaborate with teams to maintain facilities efficiently and safely. Strong problem-solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or high school diploma required.
• 5+ years related maintenance experience; forklift experience.
• Technical or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Good communication with residents, tenants, and vendors.

Responsibilities

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am-6pm

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.


• Troubleshooting and identifying issues with equipment and systems, and performing repairs and maintenance as needed.


• Conducting preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functioning and longevity of equipment and systems.


• Responding to and addressing maintenance requests, including repairs, replacements, and installations.


• Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and equipment and coordinating with vendors for replacements or repairs.

Skills & Abilities

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required.


• Experience: Five (5) plus years related experience; one (1) year forklift experience. Technical or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or a related field preferred.


• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, with knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.


• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.


• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.


• Excellent time management and organizational skills.


• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.


• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with residents, tenants, and vendors.


• Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills.


• Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver’s License; Forklift Certification Preferred, Ability to obtain certification based on job requirements.
