United Veterans Beacon House in Bay Shore, NY is seeking a Maintenance team member to perform general maintenance and repairs across our properties to keep facilities safe, functional, and compliant.

The role covers basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, flooring, roofing, and landscaping, plus inspecting for issues and maintaining appliances. We offer a supportive, mission-driven workplace serving Veterans and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a related field.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, flooring, roofing, and landscaping, to ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, and operational.
• Identify, report, and address maintenance issues discovered during inspections.
• Install, repair, and maintain appliances and facility equipment.
