ASM Global-SMG is seeking a Facility Operations Manager to lead maintenance across Mountain Health Arena. You will supervise the maintenance crew and contractors, manage HVAC systems, and optimize building performance through BMS monitoring.

The role requires strong communication, safety focus, and the ability to coordinate with event schedules and external vendors. On-site work is required in a dynamic venue environment.

POSITION: Facility Operations Manager

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: General Manager

FLSA STATUS: Full-time, Salary, Exempt

Position Summary

The Facility Operations Manager, working and planning with the in conjunction with the Maintenance Crew and Trade Contractors, is responsible for the maintenance of all areas of Mountain Health Arena.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that all safety precautions are followed at all times.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner to reduce hazards.
• Leads, directs, participates in, and provides insight into the maintenance of the HVAC and related system operations and computerized maintenance management systems that support work order management and preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
• Programs and monitors the BMS (Building Management System) to ensure energy efficiency scheduling/operation of the HVAC and other systems to optimize performance and savings.
• Operate, monitor, repair and maintain the facility’s mechanical systems, plumbing, irrigation, environmental controls, emergency power, electrical, HVAC and lighting systems as required for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
• Trains maintenance personnel to perform temperature set point adjustments, respond to alarms, and how to reset systems to proper operation.
• Verifying completed maintenance and entering the data into a tracking system.
• Hires, schedules, and supervises maintenance staff.
• Provide safety and operational training as required to the crew.
• Project management as assigned by the Director of Operations.
• Directs contracted building maintenance.
• Responsible for the athletic playing surface upkeep, maintenance, protection, and conversions.
• Attend professional development training sessions as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Follow and give verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others. Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others while working.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on event schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, stooping, lifting and walking. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work inside or outside environments as necessary.
• Proficiency with general office PC applications.
• MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to manage complex logistics in support of large, public events.
• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate customer service skills.
• Other Qualifications: Must be age 18 or older; ability to work with a diverse workforce; friendly and courteous; maintain a professional appearance and grooming; able to stand for long periods of time; walk long distances and climb stairs.
