Job summary

UFP Minneota, LLC is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install equipment, machinery, and facilities under supervision. You will work on preventative maintenance tasks and support a variety of technical duties in a manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork as you learn to read machine schematics, use measuring tools to tight tolerances, and collaborate with multiple departments to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must have the ability to use hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps, and other misc small tools.
  • Willing to learn how to properly use a variety of measuring equipment to a high level of accuracy of 0.001” to diagnose wear or damage in machine parts; such as digital and dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, levels, angle and depth gages, etc
  • Familiarity with related hand tools and troubleshooting equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tasks and duties including scheduled preventative maintenance as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery using a variety of tools.
  • Follow OSHA requirements as they pertain to daily activities.
  • Practice safety awareness in all actions, including machine operation and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Share information with supervisor and team members in a clear manner.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain general knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  • Provide personal tools as required.
  • Read and understand basic machine schematics with little guidance.
  • Be highly organized with an emphasis on detail.
  • Organize parts and materials in proper locations.
  • Lift/move/manipulate materials up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs unaccompanied.
  • Display a positive team player approach and support management objectives.
  • Able to follow directions well.
  • Show willingness to learn.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Maintenance Technician maintains, repairs, and installs equipment, machinery, and facilities under direct supervision. Maintains a variety of records; participates in special projects; and performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. This is the entry-level position for the Maintenance Technician series.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay Starting $17-21 *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living.
