Job summary

Richman Property Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at Aspire at Church Street in Norfolk, VA. The role oversees daily repairs, unit turnover, and service requests to ensure timely, high-quality maintenance and resident satisfaction.

• EPA Section 608 Type I and II or EPA Universal certification and a valid driver's license are required.
• CAMT and CPO certifications may be required within the first six months; Richman Property Services will pay for these if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily repair and upkeep of the property.
• Manage preparation of vacant units for occupancy within deadlines.
• Administer service requests and ensure timely completion.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor in Norfolk, VA!

Are you driven by a passion for community and excellence? Richman Property Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor with a proactive mindset to join our dedicated team in Norfolk.

Position: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Aspire at Church Street, Norfolk, VA

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a standard lunch. Weekend rotation required.

Key Qualifications:

Primarily looking for candidates with 4+ years' experience in multifamily maintenance, including supervisory or lead experience.

EPA Section 608 Type I and II or EPA Universal certification and a valid Driver's License are required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily repair and upkeep of the property
• Manage the preparation of vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
• Manage service requests and response times, ensuring completion within established deadlines
• Assist in maintaining curb appeal and general cleanliness of buildings and grounds
• Interview, screen, and recommend candidates for maintenance technician or grounds personnel positions
• Train maintenance and grounds personnel
• Manage scheduling and direct supervision of all in-house and vendor work
• Maintain supply and tool inventory; oversee ordering and delivery of necessary supplies and equipment
• Assist in disciplinary or promotional recommendations for maintenance and grounds personnel
• Ensure OSHA standards are met at all times and maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain logs and records; report unusual circumstances regarding the property
• Uphold and demonstrate exceptional customer service; seek educational opportunities for personal growth

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade/technical school or industry-related courses preferred

Experience:

• Minimum four (4+) years of maintenance experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent, or Maintenance Technician II
• Experience managing maintenance operations in apartment communities
• Experience with Yardi software products a plus

Skills & Certifications:

• EPA Section 608 Type I and II or EPA Universal certification required
• Valid Driver's License required
• CAMT and CPO certifications may be required within the first six (6) months of employment (RPS will pay for these if applicable)
• Ability to work well in a team environment, excellent resident service skills, and a penchant for curb appeal
• Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
