Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Aggregates Maintenance Mechanic I in Rocky Mount, NC. You will perform maintenance and repairs on crushers, conveyors, and other aggregate processing equipment to maximize uptime and plant performance.
Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, recording maintenance activities, and ensuring safety procedures are followed while supporting production goals in a demanding quarry environment.

Perform maintenance and repairs on crushers, conveyors, screens, and other aggregate processing equipment. Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical issues to maximize equipment uptime and plant performance. Complete preventive maintenance tasks to improve reliability and reduce unexpected downtime. Support safe and efficient quarry and plant operations through timely equipment maintenance. Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all company safety procedures.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and maintenance documentation. Knowledge of maintenance tools, welding, cutting, or fabrication techniques applicable to plant equipment. Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and operational excellence. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to support production goals.
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
$22.99 to $30.28 per hour
