What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot mainframe systems within a telecom environment
- Prepare system programming specifications and other documentation to define functional and technical requirements
- Analyze functional and technical requirements of IT systems to identify necessary development or modification paths
- Participate in system requirements reviews, collaborating with stakeholders to clarify and refine requirements
- Perform functional duties independently on critical aspects of various programs

What is Required (Qualifications):
- A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred
- 5+ years of experience with IBM z/OS, COBOL batch processing, and online transaction processing
- Expertise in utilizing FTP, SFTP, and Direct connect file transfers
- Strong experience working with telecommunications in a mainframe environment
- Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Payroll processing
- Familiarity with CA-View (SAR) for reviewing completed mainframe jobs
- Familiarity with REXX
- Familiarity with AGILE methodology
- Excellent communication skills
