Job summary

Experience with mainframe software and legacy systems.
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and REXX at a minimum.

Responsibilities

Perform programming of new and existing software.
Code and debug software.
Write project designs to fulfill requirements and document test steps.
Document software changes in system manuals and update relevant sections.
Conduct unit and integration testing using defined methodologies.
Prepare test plans and test result documentation for project posting.
Provide production operations support for jobs.
Publish and maintain system manuals and ensure proper formatting and indexing.
Assist other staff and customers with problem research and resolution.
Participate in a fast-paced team maintaining mainframe software systems.
Gather requirements in meetings and contribute throughout all phases of the lifecycle.
Write and test well designed software using best practices and create comprehensive documentation.
Assess new initiatives to estimate effort and timelines.
