Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
3+ years of COBOL development on mainframe systems.
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, Easytrieve, VSAM, and DB2.
Experience with File-AID, TSO/ISPF, Abend-AID.
Experience using Changeman for version control and deployment.
Experience with mainframe scheduling tools for job automation and batch processing.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, maintain, upgrade, and optimize COBOL programs and JCL scripts for data processing and reporting.
Write and manage JCL scripts for batch job execution.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to implement logic changes and ensure data accuracy for financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with analysts, QA, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Execute testing cycles and assist with troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Document code changes and create technical documentation.
Participate in code reviews and adhere to development standards.
Support production deployments and incident resolution.
