Job summary

enGen is seeking a Mainframe Storage Administrator to join the IT Mainframe Storage Team. You will learn and assist with implementing mainframe infrastructure, hardware and software, aligning with organizational strategies.

Responsibilities include day-to-day storage operations, ensuring standards compliance, contributing to on-call rotation, and collaborating with IT, product, analytics and business teams to deliver effective storage solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions.
• 3 years of technical problem solving and team/project collaboration experience.
• 3 years of basic computer science concepts and OS, development languages/scripting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for one or many of the following tasks: analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions, as well as providing general production monitoring and support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions that meet organizational needs
• Monitor work against production schedule and provide progress updates and report any issues or technical difficulties to leadership on a regular basis.
• Document technical processes and procedures, and participate in technical reviews and knowledge sharing sessions
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of with architecture to ensure solution alignment to enterprise goals and standards
• Perform technical analysis and provide insights to support decision-making across various departments
• Stay up-to-date with the latest relevant technologies and industry best practices
• Other duties as assigned or requested

JOB SUMMARY

As part of the IT Mainframe Storage Management Team , the Mainframe Storage Administrator will learn and work with members of the IT Mainframe Storage Team on researching, evaluating, designing, developing and implementing mainframe infrastructure systems by applying engineering, hardware and software design theories and principles to develop a compatible system infrastructure in line with organizational strategies.

The primary job duties will be to learn and assist with the implementation of all the Mainframe Storage Hardware and Software . Learn and assist with all the day-to-day Mainframe Storage Operations . Assure compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines and processes . Participate in the weekly Oncall rotation .

EXPERIENCE

Required

• 3 years of experience in one or many of the following tasks: analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions, as well as providing general production support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects
• 3 years of technical problem solving, solution implementation, team/project collaboration experience
• 3 years of basic computer science concepts and principles, common operating systems, development languages/scripting

Preferred

• 1-3 years of experience with TS77XX and DS88XX Storage Devices
