Job summary

Infosys Limited, through its Financial Services unit, is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to contribute to mainframe testing and API testing within a global AI-enabled environment. You will engage in requirements elicitation, design discussions, coding, testing, and deployment across banking and insurance domains.

The role requires hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and QA tools, along with Waterfall/Agile SDLC knowledge.

Qualifications

Experience in Mainframe application testing with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and batch processing.
Knowledge of SDLC (Waterfall and Agile) and test data setup.
Familiarity with mainframe tools such as TSO/ISPF, SDSF, File-AID, Xpediter, Endeavor, Control-M, CA-7.
Experience with defect/test management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or QMetry.

Responsibilities

Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting parts of business requirements.
Facilitate design discussions and document decisions to guide development.
Participate in coding and integrate features while maintaining system stability.
Conduct code reviews and maintain code repositories.
Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes.
Develop user training, documentation, and support frameworks.
Resolve production issues and implement preventive strategies.
Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.
