A leading IT consulting firm is seeking a Mainframe Programmer in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will develop and maintain mainframe systems using COBOL, Easytrieve, JCL, and DB2 among other technologies. The position is a 12+ months contract, with a need for candidates who can work independently and possess excellent communication skills. Qualifications

• Experience developing/maintaining mainframe systems using COBOL, Easytrieve, JCL, and DB2.
• Experience using secure FTP in a batch environment.
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging mainframe applications.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance and testing methodologies.
• Experience with TSO/ISPF, Z/OS, and PARMLIB configurations.
• Ability to manage time, milestones, and be self-directed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
