Our Seattle, WA area based client is seeking talented Mainframe Programmer/Analyst’s to join their dynamic group.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software based on given performance requirements and design.
• Ability to gather and understand requirements, development of software, implementation and support
• Actively participate in system design
• Be able to work individually and on team projects
• Verify accuracy, and completeness of projects by implementing comprehensive testing and sample data
• Provide source code and formal documentation

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years experience developing mainframe applications using ASSEMBLER, COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, JCL, TSO/ISPF, VSAM, and Endevor.
• Additional skills such as LifeComm, general Life Insurance knowledge, and FTP is a major bonus

You must have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to interact with business analysts and vendors while gathering and documenting technical system specifications.
